Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

A stir fry recipe developed to satisfy a family of garlic lovers. Quick, easy, and full of vegetables.

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoonspeanut oil
- 6garlic cloves, minced
- 1 bunchgreen onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoonfresh ginger, grated
- 1 poundboneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 teaspoonsalt
- 2 cupssugar snap peas
- 1red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cupsliced cabbage
- 2onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cupchicken broth
- 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
- 2 tablespoonswhite sugar
- 2 tablespoonscornstarch
Instructions
- 1.Heat peanut oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until it begins to smoke. Quickly stir in 2 cloves minced garlic, green onions, and ginger root. Add chicken and stir fry until opaque, about 3 minutes.
- 2.Add remaining 4 cloves garlic and stir. Add sweet onions, cabbage, bell pepper, and peas and stir fry until chicken and vegetables are coated with the thickened sauce.
- 3.In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup broth/water, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Add sauce mixture to wok/skillet and stir immediately, over hot rice if desired.
