Tender sliced beef and crisp broccoli in a glossy, savory brown sauce — better than takeout.

- 1 lbflank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 cupsbroccoli florets
- 3garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tspginger, grated
- ⅓ cupsoy sauce
- 2 tbspoyster sauce
- 1 tbspbrown sugar
- 1 tspsesame oil
- 2 tbspcornstarch
- 2 tbspvegetable oil
- for garnishsesame seeds
Instructions
- 1.Toss sliced beef with 1 tbsp cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Marinate 10 minutes.
- 2.Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, remaining cornstarch, and ¼ cup water. Set aside.
- 3.Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 90 seconds. Drain and set aside.
- 4.Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Sear beef in a single layer, 1–2 minutes per side. Remove.
- 5.In the same wok, stir fry garlic and ginger 30 seconds. Return beef and broccoli. Pour in sauce.
- 6.Toss until glossy and sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
