Perfect Grilled Cheese

- 2 thick slicessourdough bread
- 2 ozsharp cheddar, sliced
- 1 ozGruyère, sliced
- 1 tbspbutter, softened
- ½ tspDijon mustard (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- 2.Spread Dijon (if using) on the unbuttered side of one slice. Layer both cheeses on top.
- 3.Top with the second slice, buttered side out.
- 4.Place in a cold skillet, then turn heat to medium-low. Cook 4 minutes until bottom is deep golden.
- 5.Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until the second side is golden and cheese is fully melted. Serve immediately.
